Space Technologies and Arctic
Policies Report
This report provides a comprehensive
survey of the contribution that the six classes of space technologies
(communications, weather and climate, navigation, earth observation,
surveillance, and science) can make to the five key Arctic policy
areas (safety, environment, sustainable economic development,
sovereignty, and indigenous and social development) and their
related sub-issues. It aims to provide a coherent perspective
on how space-based technologies can support Arctic policies at
national, regional, and international levels.
