Event: International Glaciological Conference Ice and Climate Change
Location: Valdivia, CHILE
Date: Feb. 1st to Feb. 3rd, 2010

The objective of the Conference is to present new results and discuss ongoing cryospheric and climate changes in the Southern Hemisphere and their impacts and consequences on society and the environment. Although the main focus will be glaciology and climatology, we hope to foster interdisciplinary discourse about climate change through the contribution of other disciplines in earth sciences and social sciences.

Event: State of the Arctic Conference - 2010
Location: Miami, Florida
Date: Mar. 16th to Mar. 19th, 2010

The Conference will provide an open international forum for discussion of future research directions aimed toward a better understanding of the arctic system and its trajectory. Topics will range from basic understanding of the Arctic and system-wide change to developing response strategies to adapt and mitigate change. The conference also will provide an opportunity for resource management and service agencies to link the most recent science findings to their objectives and priorities. All of the sessions have been designed to include human dimensions and social science research to ensure a balanced portfolio in conference talks and discussions.

Event: International Polar Year - Oslo Science Conference
Location: Oslo, Norway
Date: Jun. 8th to Jun. 12th, 2010

The IPY Oslo Science Conference will demonstrate, strengthen, and extend the International Polar Year's accomplishments in science and outreach. The conference is an essential opportunity to display and explore the full breadth and implications of IPY actives. The international and interdisciplinary science conference will in particular highlight the global impact of the changes that have been observed in the Polar Regions.
