The POLAR ICE FP7 project kicked off in January, hosted by the European Space Agency in Frascati.
The POLAR ICE FP7 project kicked off in January, which will establish an integrated polar sea-ice information service. Supported by the EU, this will reduce costs & risks for shipping and offshore operators & reduce risks of environmental damage. The project team includes fourteen world-leading organisations in the field of satellite remote sensing applied to sea ice monitoring and forecasting; all of whom are part of the Polar View network.
